what is the difference between Tinplate and TFS ?

Fearture  difference between TFS and tinplate 

1. Apperance: TFS  apperance after Cr coating is a metallic luster and is different from tinplate;

2. Corrosin Resistance: TFS can be used with both surfaces painted and also can used with internal surface unpainted for diffent contents

3. Solderability : TFS is unsuitable for soldering

4. Weldability:  TFS also can be welded when the metallic coating layers are removed,but tinplate is superior than TFS .

Due to TFS  price slightly chepaer than Tinplate,So TFS is widely accepted as a more economical substitute for the tin coated steel.
