Vietnam hot coil import prices remain stable

On March 18, the import evaluation price of Vietnam hot coil was USD 905-910 / ton (CFR), and the cycle to cycle ratio remained basically stable (mainly refer to 2-3mm SAE1006 re rolled hot coil and similar products).

According to Vietnam market news, last week, Vietnam's mainstream steel plant ha tinh steel raised the quotation of hot coil for delivery in May. After the price increase, the price of non descaling SAE1006 hot coil in Vietnam was 930 US dollars / ton (CIF, Haiphong city) and 935 US dollars / ton (CIF, Ho Chi Minh City), and the export price was 930 US dollars / ton (FOB). The price of descaling SAE1006 hot coil is USD 5 / T higher than that of non descaling SAE1006 hot coil, and the price of SS400 pipe grade hot coil is $5 / t lower than that of non descaling SAE1006 hot coil.

Last week, some Chinese traders quoted USD 910-915 / ton (CFR) for SAE1006 hot coil to Vietnam, and the actual transaction price was USD 905-910 / ton (CFR), with a trading volume of 30000-40000 tons. Some Vietnamese buyers said that so far, the hot coil prices in Europe and the United States are very high, and it is expected that there is still room for rise in the later stage of Vietnam's hot coil prices.

In March 18th, Vietnam's import price of hot coil imports from Japan, Korea and Taiwan of China was 950-1000 USD / ton (CFR), and the weekly ring ratio remained unchanged. Last week, a mainstream steel mill in Japan did not release its hot coil export quotation to Southeast Asia, but it is reported that the hot coil export quotation of this Japanese steel mill to Southeast Asia will be raised to USD 1000 / ton (CFR) this week.
