Galvalume is an alloy coated steel, which is the best combination of aluminum and zinc composition and structure, it has both advantages of aluminum’s corrosion resistance, heat resistance and zinc’s electrochemical performance. Galvalume consists of 55% Aluminum, 43.5% Zinc and 1.5% Slicon.

Galvalume surface spangle is small and uniform, bright colors, high surface hardness, can be coated with a variety of color AFP.

The material is available in several designations, as follows:

• Commercial Steel—CS Types A, B, and C, When a CS type is not specified, Type B will be furnished.

• Forming Steel—FS,

• Drawing Steel—DS,

• High Temperature Steel—HTS, and

• Structural Steel—SS.

Structural steel is available in several grades based on mechanical properties. Structural Steel Grade 50 [340] is

available in three classes based on tensile strength. Structural Steel Grade 80 [550] is available in two classes, based on

chemistry.
